Does Glassline compromise fair chase?
No. Glassline encodes elk-hunting know-how — terrain, seasons, tactics, logistics. It never uses real-time animal locations, collar data, or crowdsourced sightings, and it never will. We help you plan the hunt. The hunt is still yours.
Does Glassline tell you where the elk are?
No. Glassline does not track, locate, or predict individual animals. It reads public terrain, habitat, access, and pressure data through decades of elk-hunting know-how, and surfaces the areas a hunter with your season, weapon, and legs would want to consider — and why. Finding elk is still your job.
Will Glassline crowd my unit or burn anyone's spot?
No. There is no shared hotspot list, no crowdsourced pins, and no map of where hunters go in Glassline — and there never will be. Nobody's spot is in the system: it reads the same public data any hunter can pull. Every playbook is built for one hunter, so two members in the same unit get different plans. Hunting pressure is a penalty in our scoring, not a target.
What does Glassline cost?
Founding Membership is $39.99 per year, locked as long as your subscription is active, for the first 500 hunters. After the founding 500, membership is $59.99 per year.
How is Glassline different from onX or goHUNT?
Those are mapping and research tools: they hand you layers, boundaries, and draw odds, and leave the synthesis to you. Glassline does the synthesis — ranked hunt areas, camp options with real drive and hike times, and a playbook built around your season, weapon, party, and fitness. Most hunters use both.
Where does Glassline run?
In your browser. The planning surface is built for desktop, where e-scouting actually happens, and the mobile web version comes with you. Native iOS and Android apps are coming.
Does Glassline work outside Colorado?
Not yet, and that's deliberate. Glassline is built Colorado-first: the largest elk herd in the country and the most complex tag system in the West, with every dataset and every play tuned for it. More states are on the roadmap, and founding members get them first.
